Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy has made a clear statement regarding his decision not to participate in the ongoing nationwide protests.
On the microblogging platform X, the internationally acclaimed artist responded to a video from October 2020, during the EndSARS protest, in which his song was played and subsequently removed at the request of the protesters.

According to the African Giant, this incident marked a turning point for him, leading him to feel that the fight within him had died. He expressed his frustration and anger towards anyone who involved his name in the current protest, writing: βThe fight in me Died on this day. Ogun go doggy anybody wey call my name this time around.β[/p>
In a separate post, Burna Boy also voiced his discontent with politicians, claiming that he has never received any support or benefits from them. He wrote: βNo politician has ever given anything. Go ask wike where the land him give me or which money him give me. You think Iβm your faves. π.β[/p>
