A dedicated Ghanaian nurse has accomplished a truly remarkable achievement in her academic journey. Leah Afoakwa, a member of the 2023 graduating class, has gone beyond her nursing career to pursue a degree in law and has successfully been called to the Bar.
In an interview, Leah expressed her passion for not only saving lives as a nurse but also defending them as a lawyer. When asked how she plans to manage the demands of both professions, she stated, "I will strategize to meet the demands of both professions. I intend to share the knowledge I've gained with my colleagues in the healthcare field and enlighten them about the increasing rate of medical negligence suits."
